Famous mashup collaborators and also festival-rockin' party band Lance Herbstrong published music video and a brand new song together with Grammy award lyricist Big Daddy Kane. The film kicks off in 1986 with best buds Harris (Russell Peters) and Reeves (Faizon Love) toking powerful top secret CIA weed simply to wake up thirty decades later. In their search for time past, both friends discover weed's been legalized and decide to start for canna-business. Between advances in engineering and the newfound wonders of retail, it requires the duo a minute. From high-powered Hollywood style designer Midi Soliz, Lance Herbstrong manufacturer Kamal Soliman received a call throughout creation, requesting to feature the band in the movie. "I received a text from Midi one day while doing production and wardrobe stating, 'Hey, I am working on a stoner movie that wants a group to picture a scene in the movie. Are you interested? ''' Soliman's answer was a resounding, "Yes," and the band went on to work with director Brad Epstein to compose an original course (Lance Herbstrong's very first original song among three books of mashups, some with countless online plays, to be exact) while attracting hip-hop celebrity Big Daddy Kane onto the track for some epic vocals. Upon Epstein's proposal, the Herbstrong crew and Big Daddy Kane recorded the "Ripped" hit for his most recent comedy to the new generation. ripped "Kane and I were speaking about the way to capture his vocals and I am telling him to simply provide us raw vocals with no effect, and he asks, 'Which mic should I use? The unique one I used to something, or all my strikes?' Of course, use the older one!" recalls Soliman. Ripped includes a vibe that is retro-future that is different, as does the film for fans of the genre with movies pioneered in the 70s and the Gen-X crop.
